Dragino DLOS8N Outdoor LoRaWAN Gateway

Price range: R8 300,00 through R9 500,00

The DLOS8N is an open-source outdoor LoRaWAN gateway designed to bridge LoRa wireless networks to IP networks via WiFi, Ethernet, 3G, or 4G connectivity. Powered by the SX1302 LoRaWAN concentrator, it supports long-range LoRa communication at low data rates and is fully compatible with standard LoRaWAN protocols.

It supports both Semtech UDP Packet Forwarder and LoRaWAN Station (Basic Station), making it suitable for private LoRaWAN networks, smart agriculture, industrial IoT, and remote sensor deployments. It also includes pre-configured LoRaWAN frequency bands for multiple regions, with full customisation available for advanced users.

A key capability of the DLOS8N is its ability to communicate directly with ABP LoRa end nodes without using a LoRaWAN server, allowing system integrators to plug it into existing IoT services without deploying their own LNS or using third-party platforms. The gateway also supports auto-provisioning for mass deployment and long-term maintenance.

Available in two Connectivity variants:

No 4G: For deployments with existing LAN or WiFi backhaul.

With 4G LTE: For off-grid, mobile, or remote-area setups where cellular connectivity is required.

The DLOS8N is a rugged, open-source outdoor LoRaWAN gateway built for long-range, low-power IoT deployments. It bridges LoRa® wireless devices to IP networks via WiFi, Ethernet, or optional 3G/4G cellular, giving you flexible connectivity for farms, estates, campuses, and remote sites.

Powered by the SX1302 LoRaWAN concentrator, the DLOS8N delivers high-performance packet handling, long-distance coverage, and reliable multi-channel LoRaWAN communication.

With preloaded standard LoRaWAN frequency plans for multiple regions, it’s ready to deploy out of the box — while still giving advanced users the freedom to fully customise frequency settings for private networks.

And here’s the kicker: the DLOS8N can communicate directly with ABP LoRa devices without any network server, making it ideal for system integrators who want simple, server-free IoT integrations.

Designed for mass rollout, it supports auto-provisioning, remote monitoring, and easy long-term maintenance, giving integrators the power to deploy at scale with minimal friction.

Available Connectivity Variants:

DLOS8N (No 4G):
• Ethernet + WiFi connectivity
• Best for outdoor and router-connected setups

DLOS8N-EC25 (with 4G LTE):
• Adds 3G/4G LTE module
• Ideal for remote sites without stable WiFi/Ethernet
• SIM card slot + LTE antennas included

Use Cases:
Smart Farming Gateways – manage soil, water, and weather sensors across large fields.
Campus or Estate IoT – connect multiple building or area-wide sensors into one network.
Industrial Monitoring – factory, warehouse, or logistics IoT sensor backhaul.
Smart Cities – environmental monitoring, waste management, or smart utility grids.
