The Milesight UC512 is a rugged LoRaWAN solenoid valve controller designed to remotely manage DC latching valves in harsh outdoor environments in real time. Built for smart agriculture, landscape irrigation, and garden irrigation systems, it delivers reliable long-range data transmission up to 15 km line of sight using the LoRaWAN protocol – ideal for farm, estate, and utility deployments across Africa.
Unlike battery-only devices, the UC512 is powered by three 9,000 mAh replaceable Li-SOCl₂ batteries – delivering over 10 years of operation on Class A without replacement. A true set-and-forget solution, engineered for long-term outdoor valve control in the most demanding environments.

The UC512 controls two DC latching solenoid valves simultaneously via a single wall or pole-mounted unit – giving farmers, irrigation managers, and field operators full remote open/close control without multiple devices, complex wiring, or on-site intervention.
- Solenoid Interfaces: 2 × DC 12V latching solenoid ports
- GPIO Interfaces: 2 × digital inputs for flow or valve status monitoring
- Control: Remote via LoRaWAN downlink or local via NFC mobile app
Available in two variants:
- UC512 (IA) – Internal antenna version. Compact and self-contained, ideal for open-field deployments with good network coverage. Powered by 3 × 9,000 mAh replaceable Li-SOCl₂ batteries with battery life exceeding 10 years on Class A.
- UC512 (EA) – External antenna version. Features an SMA female connector for an external antenna, ideal for deployments in areas with challenging signal conditions, dense vegetation, or structural obstructions. Same battery configuration as IA.
Both variants share identical solenoid control capabilities, IP68 protection, and LoRaWAN connectivity.
